Sifu Bwana! (Praise the Lord)

Hi everyone!

We have been here for three days and are really starting to get familiar with the area and with the people and the language. Nairobi is an amazing city and the people are even better. This morning we even wondered around the city by ourselves! We went to this place called the Java House, which is this very American coffee house for a few hours to study. Tonight we start ministry and have our first Navigators large group Bible Study. Navs, although they have been at the University for a few years is in transition and is basically starting over from scratch. It is the prayer and vision of Naftali, the Campus Director, that we would be able to establish and strengthen the student leaders involved and help equip them to create spiritual leaders for generations to come. I was able to meet Arnold last night, the main student leader on campus and the guy I will be partnering with while I am here. He is a 3rd engineering student and loves to play soccer and really wants to fly when he graduates university. Please pray that we will be able to connect quickly with the students at large group tonight and build bonds that will allow us both to share and learn together.
